As dumb as it gets. If you want to go fast, try a different shape. You need a boat with a full transom.
Propulsion tends to make the arse end of displacement hulls suck right into the water. Not what you want.
I have the same issue with a drift boat. The transom is narrow with a lot of rocker. Even an 8 hp outboard tends to put the bow in the air and make the boat squat. I run in from the middle seat at less than full throttle.

Love the flag on the hockey stick, nice touch
All that fancy computer, woodworking and metalworking equipment but they don't think to weight down the bow.
The Hacksmiths are building a full sized steel and hydraulic version of the loader from Aliens, just for fun. They have also built a fully functional light sabre, among other neat things.
A portageur power loader, a port clearing light sabre. Technology in the backcountry eh.
