Seems like the difference between us on the tents may be a function of the fact that we are tripping in different environments. My "winter" tent can be buttoned up and most of the time (spring in Maine, Fall in Maine and summer in the arctic) I am very thankful for that. Rare that it gets hot in my tent. If it does it has huge doors that can be zipped to mesh if need be on both ends and you get pretty good cross ventilation. I have several tents but my favorite is a Mountain Hardware Trango 3.1. It is a wonderful tent.
