Day trip on the Silver River

Couple of days ago it was sunny and 80 so i took a quick trip on the Silver River.

This manatee was about 8-9 feet long.

Turtle hotspot.

Anhinga drying out.

White Ibis.


No monkeys this trip, maybe next time.

Nice! I have been getting out here and there as we don't have any snow in the lower elevations, but no 80 yet (thank goodness) the wildlife around your area is awesome!
You have probably never been asked this question before, so here it goes. Aren't you at least a little worried about paddling with Alligators? I just saw a video (https://paddlingmag.com/videos/alli...c7f76e0e-89266393&ct=t(ptw-2021-02-04_COPY_01) where a Kayaker got bumped into/attacked by an Alligator. The guy sort of capsizes too. I would have a lost my you know what at that point...perhaps he did the same but didn't go into details.
