I was unloading my canoe from my Jeep. Got all the ropes untied and was setting them aside when the wind blew my canoe off the jeep and onto the ground. Cant see any apparent damage, but still got me a bit concerned. Its an Old Town Discovery 158.

The Disco will be fine, it's tough like dinosaur. Must have been quite a wind to blow it off!

Darn wind.. Again gusting over fifty.. I hope this stops by Wed as I don't want to paddle a desert river in a sandstorm!

Yes Meopilite the first scratch is the worst.. Glad to see your heart has resumed beating.

Actually, I thought about this yesterday while unloading my new-to-me canoe. It's only about 26 pounds and I kept hoping the wind wouldn't send out a major blast after I got the last strap off. All I could picture was my new ride being blown off into the sunset. Thankfully I was able to get it safely into my barn and set it on some sawhorses between the gusts.

That's all for now. Take care and until next time...be well.

Can't find a square 1/2 inch on the bottom 4 " of my Mad River 17'2" canoe without a scrach.
