Lots of active threads about site participation, member demographics, etc. Has there ever been a real life CT.net gathering? That would be fun.
@Glenn MacGrady is the only member I've ever met in real life. Actually, that's not true, @saltandsky listed-and-then-gifted me a bare Bell Wildfire RX hull via a forum post a number of years ago. He was even kind enough to bring it to me at the New Bedford ferry terminal, so I brought him scallops in trade. Recently, I was hopeful to meet @Steve in Idaho, but my Owyhee trip has turned into a Grand Ronde trip, and so, unfortunately, I'm no longer flying though Boise. Steve had even offered to drive a shuttle for us! Needless to say, this is a friendly corner of the internet and it might be fun to meet more of you in person. I hope to tag along with @eckilson at some point too because he's in my neck of the woods.
Should the idea gain any traction, I would offer that the Adirondacks might be the likely geographic center of our membership, and a logical location. This suggestion is made with apologies to @Aslowhand, @kahel, @PaddlingPitt, @ppine et al. who live pretty far afield.
