I have finally found three cold handles. They were in pretty bad shape, heated them in a forge to pound out the dents and re-flattened them. Sprayed them a couple of times with oven cleaner, hosed that stuff off, then soaked them in a vinagar/water solution overnight. As soon as I took them out of vinagar they wanted to rust, so needed to coat them with flax seed oil right away. Wiped off the excess oil, placed them bottom up in the oven at 500 degrees F. for a hour, let them cool down in the oven. Repeated the oil/oven part 5-6 times. They are almost like non-stick now. Do not do this while your wife is home, I did it while mine was in Europe for a month, she asked what I had been cooking when she got home.
