WPASCR is multifaceted.. There is informal instruction on all aspects of paddling a canoe and building a canoe and designing a canoe for what you want.. And the "teachers" are YOU.. Whatever you want to share be it hit and switch , poling,, whitewater strokes boat construction.. Not limited to FS.

There sometimes is a trip on Friday.

Marc, I like the site. It would be really nice if it were easy to discover new content w/ aggregators rather than having to remember to visit periodically. A couple of ideas:
* RSS feed for site changes.
* Use standard calendar format for events so people can subscribe to the event calendar. So if you've got an Apple or Google calendar, you can see all of the events in your own planning tool and copy whichever ones interest you right to your own calendar.

I like the downloadable .ics calendar events attached to the events on the site so with one or two clicks visitors can add events that interest them to their own calendars.

Magnus,
These are all good ideas. Unfortunately, we do not currently have a tech savvy web master, nor the funds to hire one. I've noted your suggestions. At such time as we have a volunteer with the necessary skills or are able to hire someone, I'll pass them along.
Thanks,
Marc

Thanks Kim - yes the Rendezvous is a bit different in format, though closely related. The Pine Barrens Workshop is also structured and focused somewhat differently than our usual FS Symposia. That said, any and all of these events are well worth attending for any single stick paddler. Lots to learn, in the company of some of the best paddlers in the nation.

We are currently experiencing difficulties with the FreeStyle Canoeing Webpage. Below is preliminary information for the Midwest Canoe Symposium.Until the webpage is updated, please contact the organizers directly for additional information.
