    Thank you all for your advice. Yes the NorthStar one was crazy expensive and carbon to boot. I'll pick up some thin aluminum angle from Lowes and modify it to fit with holes. Still have to think about the rivet.

    Black Fly - I am also going to use the aluminum footbrace this year. Is the rivet necessary or can I just use Epoxy for the side pieces? Love the racks on the car. My wife is also more comfortable in her Kayak - They (Canoe/kayak) both have their advantages.
