To me the best clamp is the one that works. There are lots of different styles for all different tasks. That said, all though I’ve never used them the Jimmy Clamps look like just the bees knees for strip building a canoe. Jim

My daughter got this photo listed on North Country Public Radio website as today’s photo. Taken near Tupper Lake in the Adirondack’s. She is becoming quite a good photographer. Jim

I agree on the share size and while we are on the subject there is nothing ’fun’ about those little fun size candy bars at Halloween. Jim

I always bring the reflector oven so I am baking something. Here is a blueberry crumble that we had for dessert and then finished it for breakfast. And this was a package of Martha Whites blueberry muffin mix (just add milk) done as one giant muffin, no need to bring a muffin tin. Jim

A word of caution though is those teeth are SHARP! And they will bite you if they get a chance. Jim

I love those kinds of saw, used a katana big boy to cleat a big cedar that was across a portage right at chest height. Two cuts and it was out of the way. Much faster/safer than an axe. Jim

You still need the center points to locate where the hole should be. Jim

I also have one of these to help guide the drill if you want to use it. They are made to guide the hand drill and clamp to the wood. Jim

If you need mine just let me know. Jim

A hardware store should have dowel locator insets, they set in the existing hole with a little point to mark the new piece. If you can’t find them I have a set you can borrow. Jim They look like this.
