How warm at night for "regular" camping?

Thanks, all. I've taken a couple of days off of work for a 3 night trip at the end of April. Now I just have to decide where to go.

How warm at night for "regular" camping?

What kind of overnight temps do you look for before you go camping with a regular 3-season tent? Earliest I've been out in the past was mid-May, but I'm itching to get started a little earlier this year.

    States that require canoe registration

Not required in WI unless you have a motor or sail on it ... "You must have a Wisconsin Certificate of Number (i.e. registration) and expiration decals to legally operate a recreational vessel legally. Exceptions to the requirement to register a recreational vessel include: sailboats 12 feet...

Oddities used from the first aid kit?

Why haven't I thought of that? I know what's being added to my kit this season!

    Mac and Cheese powders?

If your local stores don't carry it, you can find it online. I know Cabot makes one, for example: http://www.dakinfarm.com/Cabot-Cheddar-Powder-8-Oz,3229.html?b=d*19275

    Headlamps

I tend to lose them (and other stuff) around the house, rather than on a trip. Someday I'm going to find a portal to a secret room with all the gear, tools, clothing, and other things that have disappeared from inside my house!

    Headlamps

I always just get one of the cheapest I can find, because I figure I'm going to lose it or break it in a couple of years. My current one is a Coleman brand with a red light and 3 white light settings. It was under $20 and I've had it for a couple of years now. I use mine almost daily about 6...

What adhesive to use on Tuf-Weave?

Is the fiberglass needed for strength, or is it mostly cosmetic?

What adhesive to use on Tuf-Weave?

Thanks. Those are inexpensive d-rings! I wonder if JB PlasticWeld would work for this. Claims to bond vinyl, fiberglass, PVC, etc. Shouldn't be too much stress on gear tie down points.

What adhesive to use on Tuf-Weave?

Thanks - did you use the style of d-rings with the vinyl pad, like this? https://www.campmor.com/c/harmony-1-inch-d-ring-with-vinyl-pad-71203?gclid=CNzBlfPO1tICFUi1wAod_TsM1w

What adhesive to use on Tuf-Weave?

I have a couple of Wenonah canoes in "tuf-weave" and I'd like to add some D-rings to the interior for securing gear. What type of adhesive should I be using? Alao, any recommendations on the best place to purchase the materials? PS ... or would it be better to use the kind that would be...

    My new frying pan

You can buy universal fry pan lids (could even trim it to size if it is the only pan you've ever use it on), or you could just make one with sheet metal. If weight isn't an issue (assuming this isn't for backpacking), just get another pan the same size. That way you have 2 frying pans to use...

    Early season!?

I'm still skeptical ... it will be in the 50's here all week (probably breaking a couple of single day records), but winter may come roaring back in March.

Winter 2017: A 5-day solo trip with plans to return

Thanks for sharing the video, Bioguide. Interesting info about your background ... I was a Methodist clergyman for close to that long, myself.

What kinds of dry meats do people bring?

Pepperoni, jerky, and summer sausage all do fine without a cooler. Additionally, though not dried or cured, I also take foil pouches of tuna, salmon, etc. that do not need to be kept cold.
