    Curtis Dragonfly canoe saved

The late, Mark Russel, from what I have been told was a very fine paddler. He did a lot of whitewater. He and Brad Sheeler even paddled Curtis Dragonfly’s down the lower Yough. I purchased his Dragonfly this year at the WPASCR. I have just finished up giving it a new lease on life. New...

Pat Moore new old stock canoes

    Shenango River in Western PA

Ya. Above 5’ it gets really pushy. Again I think people underestimate what they are getting into then do not have a plan to avoid danger. I would paddle it at almost any level but know what to look out for.

Hello, I live 10 minutes from there. We paddle it quite a bit. It is all Army Corps of Engineers land so no “legal” camping. Watch river gauge well, 2.5 feet to 5 feet on the Transfer PA gauge is best. It can rise and lower a lot. There are sever people in both Canoe clubs I’m in that will...

    Hemlock SRT Ordered

Hello, It is interesting how where you paddle and how you paddle makes such a difference on the boat you are drawn to. My first true solo canoe was the SRT. I turned out to not be the paddler I thought I was at that time and went swimming 6 times that summer. LOL. I later found a Curtis Nomad...
