If anyone is interested there is a posting for a canoe "pack boat" on Rochester, NY craigslist. It's in Amherst,NY according to the post. It states Length 12' 4," 27" beam and weighs 20 lbs. Asking $700 I don't know what the make is, but I'm sure someone here will know. I'm new to all this.

I bought a Wenonah Fisherman from a guy and he threw in a home made version of that carrier. I usually use a light weight trailer and put my fishing stuff in the truck bed. But I have used the carrier to go to some of the ponds within 5-10 miles of the house. I put it upside down and no problems.

Black Flies! A few years back we took our yellow lab to Moose River Plains, he got out of the truck near the dam, ran into the grass and a cloud of black flies emerged. I was alright, but my wife took a solid hit from the little suckers.
