i haven't got sectional poles for the campfire...if i had, i would probably use them. and i'm still looking. works okay with the ridge-line and a couple timberline sections to hold the front up and another couple in the back for a nice taught roof. tho, mine's canvas with a vinyl impregnated...

i have a tent... when the bugs are bad, i hang a mosquto bar...hang it from the inside top of the whelan , peg it out with a few small rocks or bits of camp-gear to get it away from my sleeping bag...roll the ends on the ground...works well...it packs to the size of a sandwhich and weights...

i'd start cheap & dirty -- bronze-brush, masking tape, spray-on rust-oleum crinkle-paint...
