    Wenonah WW1 ...?

Here are a few pictures from the seller. Some pretty rough patches. The canoe is about 1.5 hours from me. I am not sure I can make it out there for a few days.

    Wenonah WW1 ...?

I hope you painted it! Edit: actually it is kind of cool. It tells the story of the canoe.

    Wenonah WW1 ...?

Thanks Allen. I may have to buy this thing. I didn't think it would last this long on the face page.

    Old Town Penobscot 17

Decent weather and some free time so I did a little cleaning on the Penobscot. Lots of overspray on one side. I haven't decided how far I am going to take this restoration. I may just leave it for now. I haven't paddled this canoe yet.

    Wenonah WW1 ...?

This thing is still available. I have never had a solo. Would this be stable enough to bring a small dog along?

"Drag-ability" of hull material over rocks in river beds and on portages

This series is a pretty good demonstration of the abuse Novacraft Tuff stuff can take.

    Recommendations for fixed blade knife

Lol, now Allen's comment about onions in my BPS knife thread makes sense!

    BPS Knives

I have not yet used the BPS or Mora for food prep. Theoretically a flat or even a hollow grind would work better as a kitchen knife. I picked them up to try the Scandinavian grind. I have done a little whittling and harvested some fatwood with the BPS. BPS has a large variety of styles available...

    BPS Knives

I picked up a knife from BPS Knives last year. I purchased a BS 3 model, mainly because I wanted to try a Scandinavian grind. It is very similar to a Mora Companion. My friend just picked up an HK 4 in D2 steel. It is a great looking knife. These are great knives, especially for the price...

    Re-webbing Canoe Seats?

I am going to replace the cane with webbing on my project Penobscot. It seams that most people go with polypropylene in either 1 or 1-1/2 inch width. @gyork thank you for the slide show. Any recommendations for width of webbing? Is polypropylene the best material?

You make a good point Glen. I should web both seats. Any recommendations on webbing material and width?

    Old Town Penobscot 17

Mid 40's F today. I got a little work done. I Used some rubbing compound on the worst half of the canoe and hosed it off. It may clean up okay. Looks pretty good wet. The paint overspray is more apparent now. Here is a look at the worst of the two patches. It looks like it may have had some...
