After two years of membership here in the forum, I can only report really good things. There is such a wide range of information that it would be enough just to read and marvel for months. All the super documented reports about canoe trips, the detailed illustrated and described self-built...

As far as canoeing is concerned, I'm meeting up with friends at the end of the month to plan the coming season ... and we hope to have a great time together and try to catch the rainbow like last time. . .

so big is relative ... with five to six people such a large tarp makes sense ... ... everyone can fit under it at the same time during the show. 🎪

At the same time I had glued new anchor points in the canoe. These will help me to better secure my panniers in the boat for future white water passages. . . . . . ;-)

there is a MANTRA: paddle smart, not hard ;) that - in combination with a smaller paddle blade should considerably reduce the pain in the shoulder, and changing the rhythm can also make paddling much easier.

Just as Patrick says, I trim the canoe with the panniers on multi-day trips. . . On day trips, I have a 10-liter water bag that I put in the bow. . .

It is an adjustable aluminum rail that is glued into the boat . .
