Since I consider my outdoor activities to be privileged, every item I take with me is luxurious for me.
Especially since I've been traveling with my own car and canoe and the appropriate equipment.
I am very grateful for that.

Sitting in the shade on the sunny side of life.

Water and weather are very beautiful and also very powerful and should not be underestimated.
If you treat them with the necessary respect and attention, all is well. But - woe betide you if you don't ...
at first my prepareness begins with packing the canoe ...
. .
in this way that it is trimmt well and for me to paddle comfortly.
Last season i did three multi-day canoe trips ... and of course i gelled. Too much is too much. With each tour, my equipment was reduced so that I was able to...
From the looks of it, this person has done everything wrong that you can do wrong ... right?
It's good that nothing else bad happened to him and that it taught him a lesson.
On paddling trips I take two paddles (Grey Owl Sugar Island / Grey Owl-Northern Light) and a divisible double paddle.
As my Wilma is very susceptible to wind, it has proved very helpful for me to use a double paddle in strong headwinds.
1. - the more choices we have, the more unhappy we are with the choices we make.
2. - Pick one and look at the rest.
The secret to a good life is "not getting what you want, but wanting what you have."
That's it! just like in real life ;)
As we always have a lot of candles burning during the "dark season", we also have a lot of leftover candle wax.
It's a shame to throw it all away!
So I collect the leftover wax and recycle it.
The same goes for the empty cat food tins and the cardboard boxes sent by Amazon, eBay and so on.
All...
thermacell gas refill adapter mod
After seeing the video on YouTube, I thought - I'll do that too.
It just worked and I no longer have to keep buying new and overpriced gas cartridges for my Thermacell mosquito repellent.

I think opinions differ on the kevla skit plates ... as with so many other things.
Some people like it, others don't.
So what the heck!
I have also fitted these skid plates to my canoe. Even made from this terribly rough and thick Kevlar Felt that frays at the edges.
But I must have done...
what-are-your-current-solo-canoes-and-how-do-you-like-them?
i only have one canoe and of course i think it's great.
and then when I'm rich ... I'm sure I'll get a second one. If.
;-)
Only dead fish swim with their keels up!
... and then it's time to spit in the grim reaper's soup by doing exactly these tours!
I wish you the necessary health and lots of time to do!

What strikes me is that the cracks are the same on both sides. Where the canoe deck was screwed on ... ?!
Could it be that the deck was attached under too much tension? - or why is it so even?
what if I only have one canoe?!
Then I have no choice to do everything with one and the same boat. (OldTown Discovery 164k)
So the agony of choice is unnecessary for me.
and as long as I don't get infected by this dreadful "must have virus", everything is fine for me.
;)
