I paddled a 17 foot nova craft on a longish trip up north. It was a rental. I liked it. Not sure I liked it more than an old town tripper. Very similar. Maybe not quite as much room - is it a little narrower perhaps? I can't remember. But it is a good tripping canoe no doubt. Hard to find used.

Nice canoe. Remarkable condition. If a 17 foot prospector - or a maybe a cruiser - show up in your neck of the woods let me know. Not too bad a drive from Vermont and I would make the trip for sure.

My tripping seems to pretty much end up happening in the shoulder seasons. I prefer down. I am a cold sleeper. Even so, 75% of the time I end up sleeping on a bare therm a rest with my 10 degree bag fully open used as a blanket. I find this to be very comfortable. It gives me room to move...
