Do the windows slide open? Lots of commercial options for screening there. Or, you can leave the door open and make yourself a custom mesh curtain like THIS. I have used them for an unrelated cover project and had no complaints. They have a customization process that is quite thorough for the price.

Thank you. I had not run into this option and will do further research into Haughton.

Small used trailers can be had for less than the price of a tear drop.
Building one is a lot of work for you can end up with.

My carport had been wrestled from the domain of arians. I cut, raised the header tube and moved the canoe rack, so plenty of room for my trailer.

I went ahead and removed the side trim. Wish I had done this a decade ago. Carrying a canoe in and out was always a pain. Powerwashed a ton of bird crud, including inside the tube ends. Smells like victory!
