Nice looking boat Glenn, lots of luck with it. Will it be your new "daily driver" and replace your other solos on most trips?

I'll post a full review with lots of photos in about three weeks after I test the canoe for four days in the Pine Barrens and on some lakes and other rivers.

I still have quite a few canoes and kayaks, many being old whitewater models or decrepit, but my plan for my ninth decade is have two very lightweight "daily driver" solo canoes. They are my Swift Carbon Fusion Keewaydin 15, an easy tracking canoe at 28 lbs. (12.7 kg) for lakes and light tripping, and this new Savage River Textreme carbon Illusion, an easy turning canoe at 21+ lbs (9.5+ kg) for twisty streams and playing.

I've had to pay through the schnozzola to get two boats light enough for my age, but that at least keeps me in the game. Confucius say: "No lifty, no paddly."

On my way to NJ and a 1st look/inspection of your new boat. In Brunswick GA tonight, inching my way toward the Pine Barrens. Some folks seeing us on the river, next week, might think they have double vision but they'd really be experiencing Illusions.
