anyone know if it would be a good short excursion rig for flat water (lakes, lazy/deep rivers)? I can't find out much about it other than most say is isn't a very good design and doesn't turn well. That could be good for lake tripping though and the stability would be nice for fishing. If it doesn't really glide well or turn well I am thinking it may not be worth the time and money, that I should just put the $500 or so I would have into it toward something like a ns phoenix that seems to be regarded as a well-rounded boat. I also no longer have a workshop to tackle projects in since I sold my house last fall. I would have to stash it somewhere until the weather got better and work on it when it warms up to epoxy setting temps here in Michigan.
