The local canoe club 
once again invited members to its annual end-of-season paddling event.
Around 50 canoeists with approximately 30 canoes attended this weekend event.
Friends even came from neighboring countries (the Netherlands, Switzerland and Belgium).
In addition to numerous teepees, tents and motorhomes were also set up on the club grounds.
Unfortunately, the good mood that everyone brought with them on Friday did not carry over to the weather.
On Saturday, strong winds and rain were constant companions on the Rur river.
Nevertheless, the general mood was great and everyone had a lot of fun as usual.
