So sad these tents are no longer available as ours is dun wore out. Want something with that amount of headroom, footprint, 2 doors, etc. etc.? I'll do the research if needed but just hoping someone has already done so.

Thanx
Micah

Thanks for the suggestion Michael. That is quite a tent! I just watched a video of two people setting one up. Is it easy enough to do by oneself?

I have been using an Exped Orion 3 since since 2019. It is my Go-To tent (out of 6 tents) for any trip unless I am going ultra-light, need my 6 person tent for space or a car-camping pop-up tent for rough use and a loaner. I have spent 34 nights in the Orion 3 during conditions ranging from 40 MPH wind driven-rain to desert camping and it has preformed and held up very well. It is the best ventilated 4 season tent that I have ever used. The many well thought out details built into this tent are amazing.

I also have 2 sleeping bags made by Exped and again the attention to detail is impressive. I do not understand why this Swiss company doesn't have a larger market share in the USA. Thumbs up to their products.

Not familiar with this tent, but it looks many other tents of that style. Is there something special about it?

That said, if I was tent shopping I'd be looking for something with a good, usable fly-first design. The Durston x-dome is an example, but is more of a backpackng tent and is not available as a 3-person. The Taiji series here is another option, though I'm not familiar with the company.

Finally getting back to this. Purchased a MSR Hubba Hubba LT 3. Spent 6 wet, cold, windy nights in Quetico with no leaks and minimal condensation. We love the light weight but it sure feels delicate. The conjoined spider of attached tent poles seems to be a hazzard if rushing raindrops or in the dark.
