Hello from Michigan

Hi all,
I’m a Michigander who has been away for a while, now I’m back to stay. Years ago I worked at CanoeSport in Ann Arbor and I left the state not too long after they closed.
It’s been a while since I had a canoe for a few reasons, but now that I’m back, and have some time on my hands I’m looking to remedy that.

Well, welcome to the community. I am originally from Ann Arbor but now live in Wisconsin and enjoy the western UP with my solo and tandem canoes.

Welcome. Used to hang out at CanoeSport on weekends, driving 3 hours up from central OH. Great shop, great folks, travelled with Ned and Ron a couple times. Bought several boats there.

Welcome. I miss CanoeSport. I'd like to shop for a new Blackhawk. I have the Grey Owl Chieftain that you guys used to hide from your customers.

You're welcome to pop over to the west side of MI for a paddle (we're about 2 hours west of AA). I also come your way several times a year to paddle in Pinckey or Waterloo rec areas.

I’m not in AA now, closer to West Branch.
I would love another Blackhawk. I lost mine in the spillway of Argo Dam. Still have the seat though. And from what I can remember, a matching Grey Owl!
We bought an old fixer upper of a house and I’m getting it weatherproof, just about done and jonesing for some time on the water instead of in the basement fighting it.
