Looking for checklist (solo with dog)

No Title Hello, I hope it is OK to reopen my old post. I've decided that I will have my checklist here in this thread. It will be a WIP and will take some time, but I will be able to get advise on items I do or don't have yet. At this time, I just want to say that I have been assembling gear...

Enjoying the life on a river

Welcome Jeff. Kayaks aren't my thing, but paddling is the most relaxing thing I've ever done. Enjoy. :)

Underwater drone - "recreational fishing will never be the same again"

OK... I can't look away. What is the story with this?

    Intro from NW Indiana

Lot of peace and quiet down at Willow Slough, and a camp ground.. I'm just not into the noise and hustle and bustle up this way. Wolf Lake has canoeing too but I-80 runs right through it. I would be tempted to do the Calumet out this way if it had some access (and cleaner water). My dog drank...

    Day trip solo

Hello, Thanks for your report and I enjoyed seeing the pictures. Beautiful canoe and a good ole' car. You're very lucky to live near wilderness! For some reason, I especially like the fact that you Canadians can use feet and meters in the same sentence. :) Cary

Looking for checklist (solo with dog)

I can see what I'm really going to need to do is making notes on how much quantities I use on a daily basis. It is imperative that I do not run out of coffee.

Looking for checklist (solo with dog)

Thanks so much everyone! One of the things I remember seeing in my gear was my first aid kit - covered there. I know I'll definitely need to make up a printed one as I go. I'm lost without a list when it comes to preparing for things. :)

Looking for checklist (solo with dog)

Hi everyone! This is the year it happens... I'm actually going to canoe trip. I was wondering if anyone had a favorite checklist(s) for getting things ready. I will be mostly solo with my dog. Retirement is GREAT! Best wishes, Cary

Poll: What percent of the time do you use a double blade paddle solo?

Not that it matters, but it is not for me. I get a joy out of a good paddle stroke when my canoe does just what I want. Kayaks: It's a turn-off, man... :) Best wishes to everyone that uses them.
