Old Town Katahdin 12, Canoe or Jon boat?

I picked up a Katahdin 12 fiberglass. It was on offerup for $200 and seller let me have it for $175 because I found a crack in the hull. And a lot of gouges. And rotten wood. And faded gelcoat.
I have never seen anything like this thing. With a Stanley tape measure this boat is a whopping 41 inches wide! And it is the epitome of "flat bottom".
This is the fattest canoe I've ever seen. It looks like a Jon boat with pointed bow and stern. Upside down it would make a huge picnic table.
I had to have it just because it is so weird.
I wonder if I can move it with a paddle?
Probably wear out a trolling motor trying to push this barge upstream. Might have to buy an outboard motor, I dunno. Oars?
It's very heavy, it was all the seller and I could do to wrestle it up on my truck rack. Dropped it on his foot once. We had to take a breather after loading, but as I drove away I noticed in my rear view the seller look delighted and began dancing. I hope I didn't commit some kind of canoe sin, buying this thing.

The only sin is letting one go by. ("Yield to temptation, it may not pass your way again.")

Is that the older brother of the Stillwater 12? I'll bet it'd be a good boat to pole.

I think it is kin to a Stillwater. I had a Stillwater 16 for a bit. But this 12 footer just looks so weird being short and stubby and fat too. Hull numbers end with 92.
If my bargaining skills were a bit better, I probably could have got the seller to pay me to remove this thing from his yard.

Pictures?

Ok thank you, I figured out how to post a picture. Those barnacles are dried tree sap. Took an hour working with a razor scraper to get most of it off.
The crack is fixed, just not sanded down as the resin is taking forever to set up. I roughed out a new 41 inch carry yoke because no one makes a yoke that size. Guess I might as well make the seats too. Then we will take it to the lake and see what happens.

It just hit me that I never posted a picture of this canoe after it got new paint and some wood replaced.
Here they are:

This came out awesome I just got a hold of a 14 footer in red. I just ordered new seats for it (the hangers are different though, they will cause the seat to sit lower. 🤷🏼‍♂️). I plan on repainting it, hopefully it comes out as nice as yours. How did you do it? Bush and roller or with a spray gun? Did you put a clear coat on after the pain?
