We recently "unearthed" some old video's of the Dayton (Ohio) Canoe Club. To me, the most interesting was 4:00 minutes of professional (back then) footage shot of the DCC's second Regatta in 1914. This is significant, because the city was still rebuilding from the "1913 Flood". In the Canoeing Heyday of Dayton, there were 5 canoe clubs in the city. DCC was the newest and the only one to survive the flood. Over 25,000 people were in attendance at this regatta! One of our board members is in the process of building out a DCC Youtube channel and the 1914 Regatta is one of the first he posted. It is best viewed on a smaller monitor, if you try to watch on a larger "Smart" TV, the video blurs out.
