Slipping cam straps fixed.

My most-used cam straps had some slippage in that area where the cam clamps most often. It was clear that this section of the straps was soiled with finger sweat and road grime, sort of polished matte-grey like the sweatband of a paddling hat at day's end in August.

The cams are still sharp, and they grip fine on other areas of the strap. What to do?

Finally I stuffed them all into a couple of mesh bags and threw them into the washing machine. Voila! No more slippage.

Thanks for sharing... this morning I bought 4 new straps assuming the ones that were slipping were worn out. I'll launder them and then I'll have 8!
