Placid Boatworks Werner paddle yoke modification

While recently surfing the internet about Algonquin Park canoe/trout fishing trips I came across Shawn James YouTube channel and website: MySelfReliance.com. He had done some modifications to his Swift canoe for a yoke and rod holder that would work for my Placid Boatworks Spitfire as well. (Funny thing... the Swift canoe looks so much like the Placid Boatworks; I bet there is a long contentious story there...) anyways, I made similar modifications to my Spitfire and thought some Placid Boatworks owners may be interested in seeing. It uses the kayak paddle as a yoke and adds a fishing rod holder for trolling as well. Again, I did not come up with this idea I copied and slightly modified it. The credit goes to Shawn James.

Both craft were most likely designed by the same person. Is that wrong?
I've been using the same system minus rod holder for 8 years in Rapidfire as the seat bangs my head and that arrangement allows the boat to ride higher
