National Canoe Day, June 26th!

C'mon people, where is your SPIRIT...?!

It's National Canoe Day (who officially proclaimed this I have no clue) and I am hoping to feel the urge and the possibility of putting paddle to water later on today, the gods willing and the creek don't rise...
Who else knows about this day or planned to do anything like a nice paddle...?

I watched several osprey this early morning with their first catches of the day on the CT River. Very nice, put me in the mindset to steal a few hours at the end of the day. And then Google allowed as how this might be a tiny bit more special day for us small boaters.

C'mon man, FOCUS!!!

Just bring the darn (chocolate to be sure) pudding along with you and work it off as you do a glorious paddle (suggested over my shoulder by someone in the cheap seats)... and send an action pic.

OK southcove I agree with you...we are obligated to hit the water today. I was on the fence due to off and on rain plus a somewhat unpleasant experience with jet skis yesterday...but it's not raining now so off we go. Nice and cool now and going to be 95 this weekend!
