It’s been a frustrating search for trailers. I’ve decided to look at the crawl in models to avoid the need for a new carport. I eliminated the bird nest issue by taking off the end trim and the front gable siding. I’m also moving the front cross support up to increase the clearance to 7’2”.

When finished, a NuCamp T@G will fit, a 320 will not. The prices of the NuCamps are stupid, and I ran across these Mod Bugs. I’m not familiar with the brand, other than older, mostly negative internet reviews, but I do know there’s no matchsticks inside the walls or plywood on the bottom (although leaks seem to have plagued the brand a few years ago). Anyone familiar with these buggies?

UPDATE: Meh, I don’t think the Mods are built to last. Back to the drawing board. Heading up to WI for a little paddling. There might be a T@G up there to check out. Gonna miss that cabin.

We have an Intech Pursue, which uses tubular aluminum framing. I call it a hard-sided tent on wheels. It’s a square drop, so you don’t lose all the headroom (you can sit, but not stand in it, so still a lot of crawling around). It fits a tri-fold queen size mattress, with a few inches to spare lengthwise.

No water, a pull-out kitchen that is basically an electric cooler and a propane stove, with a little storage. The 300lb tongue weight is pretty high for what it is, but that’s because the kitchen slide-out is right in front.
