Greetings to all from south Florida, where it is currently hot enough to fry eggs. On the other hand, we have year round paddling. Before I went south, I did a lot of wilderness tripping in Quebec: Verendrye, Riviere Mistisibi, Riviere Megiscane. Also did some white water on the upper Hudson river in New York and some in Vermont. Smaller trips in Maine and Vermont.
I used to hang out in the Adirondacks a lot.
I learned white water paddling from Jerry Jenkins in Vermont and did a week of lessons with Jimmy Yocum at Nantahala.
Now my favorite places to paddle is Fisheating Creek and into the Ten Thousand Islands. I am mostly a solo paddler. Never taken a wilderness trip with more than one other person.
I've posted a couple of trip reports. Hope to meet you all.
