Fog can be interesting. I do not like paddling in it.
The last three days here in Nevada at 5,000 feet we have had freezing fog. The visibility is a few hundred yards. The sun never makes it to the ground. The high temp in the last 3 days has been 28 with lows around 5. Every morning there is a strange crystal frost on everything. The local Paiutes call it "Pogonip." It is caused by cold air drainage from the local mountain ranges, on still nights. The cold air pools in the valley, and comes in contact with the relatively warm ground.

Today is like a Rebirth. The sun is out. Holy Cats. We will make it above freezing and melt some snow.
