All these trip reports are making me antsy...the last of the ice passed under our town bridge on the weekend, so I finally got out. This is 50 feet from my back yard. The canoe is my 20 foot Outback, and the ballast is courtesy of my Fiancee.

Very nice plane you have! Last weekend was supposed to be our first trip but rain, more rain, cold and a brutal east wind cancelled it. South of Winnipeg some places got 8" of rain over the weekend. It could be one of those years, high water but no fire risk.

I really love that photo memaquay. My wife said to me "I wish we had a backyard like that". Me too.
Happy paddling.

The chair is a folding canoe chair, made out of cedar, it's a pretty simple design, and good for kids...keeps them down on the floor.
