I spent most of yesterday with my old cat on my lap nursing a cold.

Dig the cat! We don't have one now because Shep the canoe dog had an attitude. Chick and i follow the same process. If a cat doesn't just show up we go to the pound and see who has been there the longest and take that one home. It incurs more medical bills than a newer model but I hate them sitting there, often times not getting excited because no one ever pays attention to the old guys.
