A 6 mile carry in the 6 million acre Adirondack Park

May 15 - 17, 2017 I head out for a 2 night stay on Pillsbury Lake located in the West Canada Lake Wilderness of the Adirondack Park. I end up having to carry all my gear in for 6+ miles as the seasonal road gate was closed. I fished for brook trout (unsuccessfully), carried over to Cedar Lake for some exploration, enjoyed the eerie calls of the common loon, and the solitude of the wilderness setting.
