The 2026 annual Assembly of the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) has been changed from its usual location at Paul Smith's College in Paul Smiths, New York, to Keuka College, which is in the Finger Lakes region of New York. It will be held from July 14-19.
Paul Smith's College is undergoing some renovations and other changes that have made it not feasible to have the WCHA Assembly there this year. Keuka College has modern facilities, is on the shore of Keuka Lake, and is three miles from Keuka Lake State Park. The WCHA has had Assembly there four times previously, most recently in 2009.
The theme of this year's Assembly is Watercraft of New York. That theme will include canoes, sailing canoes and Adirondack guideboats. Here is a preliminary version of the poster.
I will update this thread with more details and information about the Assembly and the Keuka College venue when things have been finalized.
