Hi All,
Here's something that your inner Chestnut enthusiast might find kind of cool. Last weekend I had a bit of fun paddling around in a Chestnut 'Falcon'. The 'Falcon' was a fibreglass hull that they made in their final year as a company in 1978/79. It is longer at 17ft than the more common 'Camper' model produced in the early 70's, but holds less weight according to the old catalogs -- it's narrower at the beam and shallower too according to the owner. Unlike some of the other fibreglass Chestnuts i've seen, this one doesn't have a keel. If I've got any info. wrong feel free to correct me!
What a fun boat to paddle, shallow but a real treat on flat, calm water. Check out the pictures!
Enjoy!
