I did not have a seat issue until I attached foam to my seat, so I attributed the tailbone irritation to that. See my picture where I cut away and relieved that contact point to solve my issue.

I developed a sore after adding padding to one of my Wenonah seats. I modified the seat by cutting a U in the top of the back of the foam that I had added and this seems to have cured the problem.

Welcome, I returned to paddling the great outdoors in the past 5 years and my only regret is that I had not come back to it sooner. The boats are better, the used market is larger and the interest is stronger than I would have thought in my neck of the woods. I wish you many miles of joy.

A 30 lb. boat is nice and once you go there it is tough to go heavier. I still keep a kevlar / gelcoat Prism in my stash of boats and it weighs about 42 lbs. and could also be an option if you come across one. The Prism is however 16'6".

Well, so much for my prediction!!

In south Louisiana snow flurries were observed a couple nights ago and we awoke to a paper thin layer on some horizontal surfaces. In comparison, a year ago we actually had a foot of snow which is really tough to deal with in the deep south.

I think that before you know it you will have made several and become so efficient in your methods that you will just have to start selling them :) !!
