Thanks Jim It's made from an 8x4 sheet of 3mm marine ply. (British Standard 1088 guarantees no voids and continuous waterproof glue - any voids in the ply would certainly result in damage when bending started) No need to steam anything, but some people pour on boiling water as they bend it up...

I built the 12 foot one sheet version. It's too low volume for me but will suit my grandson in a few years. Bringing it from a flat shape of plywood to a canoe is amazing. I still can't get my head round it.
