    EM White Guide 20'

I am an idiot, the new bits are the same size as the old bits. But I did figure out how to set them up lol.

I received the 1/8 bits, and have started cutting bead. This smaller bit works so much better. Pretty monotonous work making these strips. Here’s what the bead looks like.

    EM White Guide 20'

Thanks for all the help, and that video. I was a bit frustrated so ordered 1/8 bits and walked away from it. With all the great tips you guys provided, think I’ll mess around with my 1/4 bits today and see if I can get acceptable results.

    EM White Guide 20'

With the bead bit, there is a gap an each side of the strip. When I run a strip through the table, I get a nice round profile on one side of the strip, and not much roundness on the other side. I can adjust the height of the bit up or down, but it doesn’t want to give a nice round edge on both...

    EM White Guide 20'

Man, I am an idiot. Got all my strips cut. Bought a new router, and table. Went to set the router up for cutting bead, and I failed miserably. I bought a set of cove and bead bits in 1/4. My strips came out to be 7/32. Well those bits are way too big lol. Lesson learned, now going to order new...

Well, I think I’m finally going to build the White 20 footer. Dug out the strong back, and stretched it out to 20 feet tonight. Need to pick up some plywood, and start building the forms next.

Aftermarket roof rack options w/o rain gutters

If I’m not pulling my canoe trailer, and only taking one canoe, I use a Seasucker rack. https://www.seasucker.com/collections/crossbars-and-accessories/products/monkey-bars-2020-edition It mounts to your roof with suction cups. Last week I made a 1200 mile round trip to the BWCA using the...

It holds 42 beers with ice. That’s probably all that will go in it. The rest of my gear will go in my Frost River packs.

    Wannigan/cooler project

First paddle of the season. Took the cooler along to see how it fit with myself and it in the boat. Seemed to be fine, the big test will be next month when I take it on a week long trip through the Missouri River Breaks.

New to me Portage Pal trailer

I just finished up a canoe trailer. Going to break it in on a trip to the Missouri breaks next month. I had an old ‘65 Ford pickup box trailer, bought some steel, welded up a rack, threw on some new trailer tires, rewired the lights and a few other odds and ends. It isn’t pretty, but should get...

Thanks! Yes, they do resemble Jeep latches, great eye, never even thought of that. I thought about a stand, but don’t think I’m going to make one. Planning on running the Missouri River Breaks in May, get to see how the cooler works then.

Getting closer to finishing this off. It became strictly a cooler. It has 1” of insulation on the sides, with 2” on the top and bottom. Epoxy and glass is all done. Need to sand and varnish.
