My guess would be a Huron area builder but I have not studied Canadian canoes in depth. I'm not aware of any existing serial number records available for any of the Canadian builders so the number may not help much. Benson

I agree, the oddly extended stern deck also looks like it may be hiding something. The most valuable part of this canoe may be the diamond headed bolts, which probably aren't worth an eight hour round trip. Oh well, Benson

My guess is an Old Town from between the early 1920s and late 1930s. It probably had sponsons originally and may be an HW model. This has had some significant repairs in the past. I can offer more details if you can get the serial number from the inside stems. Benson
