Source for wool coats on the cheap

Ebay is a gold mine. I am a bit obsessed with wool and sourced most of it on Ebay. I just won an auction for a Dehen wool chore coat.

    New paddle disappointment

What model S&T? I have three. Two Northwoods and one Racine. They are my go to. I was at Raquette River Outfitters a while back and picked up S&T Penobscot and could not belive how heavy and bulky it was compared to my three. I definitely would not have been able to use it.

    New paddle disappointment

I would not pay to ship it back. I've had too many paddles break or become damaged during transit. You may just need time to adjust to the new paddle.

Lows Lake October weekend get away

Great trip! Can't beat ADK in a WC canoe. Lows's is one of my favorites. Next you have to check out St.Regis. My girlfriend and I are up there every weekend in season. Attached is my fully loaded Chestnut Garry. Similar to your set up The broom was given to us by a Ranger to sweep out the lean to.

    Motor mount question

Hey, I am wondering if anyone has had any luck using side mount motor bracket effectively. I have an Old Town motor bracket, a 2.5 HP Mercury and I am using them on my Old Town 17 HW Sponson. The problem is once I get above half throttle, water pours into the canoe. This happens because the...

Has some life left. Just cover shipping. I think I can fit this in a USPS medium flat rate box. 15 bucks.

    Penn Yan Kingfisher

Thanks! I car top all of my boats. Trailers seem like a pain. But, I always said that about motors now I own two. It rows extremely smooth, although I rarely us the oars. I still paddle this like a traditional canoe when I am not using the motor.

    Penn Yan Kingfisher

My first four into the world of motors. I picked this about just before Memorial day. Put on a quick coat of paint an varnish and got her on the water. The lines of this boat are incredible. I ditched the vintage 2 stroke and purchased a new Mercury 2.5 hp fourstroke. Top speed is about 9 mph!

Nova Craft Royalex Canoe (asking for opinions)

This is a great boat at a decent price. If I had the room this would be in my fleet. This has been posted for a while. I think you should make the seller an offer.

    Boat cover fabric options?

I use Vortex covers topped with Tyvek for winter storage. The Tyvek does not last long in the sun. I am exploring the company below for summer. My boats are always under cover. Mostly for UV protection. Cypress Rowe Outfitters

    USPS broke my paddle.

I typically send paddles wrapped in bubble wrap and saran wrap with no box. I haven't had an issue yet. We will see how this works out. The seller has been fantastic. I tried submitting a claim with USPS, but I think the seller needs to do this. USPS was asking for the original shipping receipt...

    USPS broke my paddle.

Well, I found a beautiful paddle in Maine. 83 inches long and what looks like Birdseye(not positive). I opened the package and my excitement turned to disappointment. I discovered a nasty crack. I have included pictures of the break and the repair. A lot of Epoxy, clamping and sanding was...
