Thanks for the heads up. I'm curious about how the canoe was carried on the Cyber truck. I've only seen one with racks that looked suitable for skis. Was the canoe pointed to the sky and catching a lot of wind?

Looks good! Regarding the QR yoke - if you install the yoke mounts just ahead of the balance point, you can still lift the canoe by grasping the rails at the balance point. Also, then you have an easier carry, being slightly stern heavy. But I'm interested to see how the bungee thing works...

My quietest stroke is doing in water recoveries with either my Kettlewell modified otter or the ottertail I carved, which has an even longer blade. But I'm finding that I can be pretty quiet with my Zavs and my BB Viper, just by doing as @yknpdlr suggests.

I understand, but do these look stressed? With slow movements and blade in the water, I manage to get some pretty good photos without disturbing the subject. It's part of why I love canoes. Thumping the gunnel works against this. BTW, my departure is as careful as my approach. No ducks...
