Raising seat height in my new Esqiif Echo?

Have been planning to put a footbar in my Echo, so thanks for the reminder to move that more to the front burner. Definitely a little tight under the seat for kneeling. Re: Wildfire/Echo comparison, I don't have firsthand knowledge (or much seat time at all in it yet) but the Happy Paddln'...

I'd try WD-40 first. Widely available even at convenience stores and such.

    Outback Fixed for Canoeists

Not a wilderness package (and a 2021, not 2020 -- my bad). It was a Sport package (with the 2.5l engine), but I don't think the rails were included as part of that package. And no swing plastic crossbars on it either. Just rails. Seeing more and more vehicles with euro rails, and have them...

    Outback Fixed for Canoeists

I had rails on my 2020 Crosstrek and put Yakima crossbars on. The rails weren't on all Crosstreks or other models, but were certainly an option.

    17' Wenona Spirt 11 restoration

Agree with ppine. Good hull and worth saving. Miss ours in rx, but wanted something lighter so it had to go.

Another rainbow last night, this time without the accompanying storm. Need some prettier boats down there.

    Replacement for REI Taj 3?

Not familiar with this tent, but it looks many other tents of that style. Is there something special about it? That said, if I was tent shopping I'd be looking for something with a good, usable fly-first design. The Durston x-dome is an example, but is more of a backpackng tent and is not...

Wife has the new rig on a road trip so I'm reduced to the old faithful recreation vehicle. Not complaining.

What is your local day paddle?

New Hampshire's Grafton Pond is about 30 minutes from my house. Often a packed parking lot on weekends, during the week it is largely empty. 319 acres, with two houses along the shoreline and the rest undeveloped. No motors. Went with my wife on Monday.

    Photo of the day

Had a quick storm blow through yesterday evening at the end of an otherwise lovely blue sky day. Made for a nice scene down by the local put-in.

    Paddled a Wenonah Wilderness today

Wenonah Wilderness has a seat that can be adjusted by tilting forward for kneeling. So I was and am confused by the OP.

    Paddled a Wenonah Wilderness today

Souris River Wilderness rather than a Wenonah Wilderness I guess? [Admin note: I edited title to make this more specific for search engines.]

Good all around tandem for flatwater and rivers

Can't comment on the MR, but we had a Spirit II and really liked it. We had bench seats rather than buckets. Definitely a hull that will suit a lot of people, and meets your stated needs well.

    Spring Whitewater Paddling has Begun

I've got friends just over the NC line from SC's Table Rock State Park. They've got bugout bags in the car and are keeping the pets close at hand. My son is leading an Outward Bound course near NC's Table Rock. He's getting daily updates from the mothership, and also has contingency plans in...
