The sacrifices we make in life for paddling

mhmm - depends on how much risk you are willing to take when practicing your hobby. If you are prepared to take a higher risk, you are nevertheless selfishly ignoring the well-being of your loved ones. Do I really have to ride the white water section at high water with c3-4 and expose myself to...

That's no comparison - not at all. Sure, it would have its appeal - but not the vastness, the wilderness and the solitude. The neighbor's green is always greener. ;)

during a multy day paddle trip last year in summer I use this combo. Tatonka Mosquito Dome whith a HELSPORT Gapahuk Tarp. . . . The whole setup is light, quick and easy to assemble, and the shelter is very comfortable. If no rain is expected, I leave the tarp out. regards Michael

    Outfitting, Maintenance and Repair Preparations

@dustycassidy it doesn't matter if I can simply undo the lacing. Or the air bag inside. I leave them in, with every water still and quiet or wild and white.

Do you roll, fold or stuff your tent?

I find it easier to fold the tent, tarps and tipis first and then roll it up. Why? Because of the cords and ropes, which are then not quite as tangled as when I simply stuff the tent into the stuff sack.
