    Canoe Company Model Production list?

Strangely enough the folks at WCHA have been very helpful when I've had to get specs on discontinued non-wooden Old Town canoes (i.e. a 1982 Acadia) but I agree, a resource for old Wenonahs would be great.

    How hard to fix this?

Nope, outside my radius, wasn't me!

    How hard to fix this?

I thought about it. I typically search a 5 hour radius and look at everything; the best deals are those where the seller thinks a canoe is a kayak, or Kevlar is fiberglass, this one looks like Kevlar.

    How hard to fix this?

There is what looks to be a Sawyer Loon in CT for $150 that needs a little love for decked solo canoe aficionados: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/961472480951849/

    Kevlar/Aramid Weight

I do for two reasons: to ascertain which manufacturers are the biggest liars (Dagger and Old Town) and to keep myself from 'over-outfitting' until I can no longer lift the boat!

    Kevlar/Aramid Weight

It's a pity, really, but rather that than go belly-up or sell out to Pelican! The Wenonah model price increases this year across the board may really hurt them too.

    Kevlar/Aramid Weight

You got me to thinking, since your original post was in reference to Wenonahs. My last catalogue is about three years old and all references were to Kevlar. The Wenonah website now refers to Aramid (which is of course the same material, just not made by Dupont). So I suspect Wenonah is now...

    Picked up an Arrow Mirage

Pretty sure that's a Bear Creek Mirage, originally made up your way but moved to NC http://bearcreekdev.chicagoips.com/canoes/mirage/ and now I believe out of business. I had one a few years ago but found the hull was not stiff enough for me (had a peculiar tendency to twist axially). HIN...

WTB - Mohawk 13 Solo or 14 Solo Rx

I knew you wouldn't part with yours, but I thought I would give this forum a try. Always wanted to try one. Picked up my third OT Pack yesterday, although I could never find any love for them aside from the 34 pounds. But better than dragging Kevlar over bony water!

    Old Town Next?

I confess that my issue with the seat and a kayak paddle is I have poor form, bringing the paddles behind me slightly with each stroke. With my arm length, I hit the top corners of the seat. Single blading with the stock seat, my normal body rotation with a J-stroke did the same thing. The...

    Old Town Next?

I did end up selling my Next last fall, including the conventional hung seat option. The Next was originally going to be offered as the 'Pack Element' in 2014 in both Poly and Royalex (at 46 pounds), but no doubt OT realized that Royalex would be no more. What a pity, as removing the seat...

WTB - Mohawk 13 Solo or 14 Solo Rx

I am looking to buy a Mohawk Solo 13 or 14 in Rx, no patches or skid plates within 5 hours of Rochester NY. If you have one in your stable that doesn't get used much, turn it into cash for something else.

    Mad River Courier Restoration Question

If you can't get thwart and seat placement dimensions from a current Courier owner, you can measure this pic and extrapolate the actual size numbers and come pretty close. I can usually get the luster of gel-coat back with automotive rubbing compound and a buffer if the fade is not too bad.

    Doing My Part

I'd be interested in your take on the Magic versus the Prism after you get a few paddles in. Trying to make up my mind.

Canoe Outfitting Attachment Weight Bearing Experiment

I spent two years in the Materials Engineering lab at Eastman Kodak Company early in my career; you are bringing back many fond memories Mike!

    Royalex Repair

I have never been satisfied with any repair I have ever done on Royalex, especially delamination, but your plan is interesting. I would love to hear how it turns out if that is how you proceed (I am wondering how it would cure). As far as G-Flex, I use it for almost everything. The usual...

    Wanted - Solo Canoe

Pretty sure the Indy can handle that, Scott. Your wife would have loved my 98 Kevlar Indy, sold it last year (dog has not forgiven me).

    Canoe seats

That certainly explains the difference in cost of the Conk! I think I will have to try one next time, as I have soured on the Ed's cane bucket.
