Those wrinkles, don't worry about those little guys. They disappear like magic when you apply some heat. Here are a couple more pictures to prove it.

Made some progress over the weekend. I put window shrink wrap on the hull before adding Dacron as a peel ply. This was six ounce fabric which is way thicker than necessary. Lots of heat needed to get it to shrink, but it still works.
Jim,
I believe I remember a previous post somewhere on this forum where you stated that you used graphite powder on the bottom of a hull and it blistered when left in the sun. Are you concerned this might happen again?
How much smaller? I would think you could save yourself a step or two by "stripping" it in place. Unless you wanted to epoxy it in place instead of using glue for initial bond. Maybe you could put some skinny spacers in between the form and transom in order to get it to fair.
Slick setup! looks very user friendly.
I agree with Jim's comment above about the strength of the cross grain where your barrel bolts are located.
Might be a lot stroger if you laminated the truss with glass...just a thought.
Thanks Alan and muskrat,
That seems like a pretty darn good way of doing the wet out. I greatly appreciate all of you experienced builders giving guidance to those of us who are inexperienced.
I'm very glad that Alan encouraged me to join this forum when He found me on another forum posting...
I have been using power tools since the age of 10, the mindset that was instilled in me from an early age was to "respect and not fear" the tool for what it can do, and that it doesn't know the difference between wood or flesh. Quite honestly in 20+ years of carpentry work my worst injuries have...
I purchased woven cloth. I also bought some shears made by clauss. They cut very clean. I messed around with some of the 8 oz making a sheath for my Irwin coarse cut hand saw. I found it very hard to wet out without heating the resin.
Thanks Jim, I'm feeling pretty good about it! I'm excited to get it sanded and use it as a mold for the Kevlar copy.
Does anyone have tips or suggestions they would be willing to share about working with Kevlar cloth?
I'm pretty sure I don't want to be trying to wet out multiple layers at a...

Jim,
Thanks for those pictures and your input! I was beginning to worry that I really screwed up the glass.
I did not use bias cut strips on the stems. I used the scraps from the full layer of 6 oz. my partial was 4 oz on the outside per your recommendation. What I did with the...
Alan,
You are correct it affected a much larger area. That spot was about the worst of it.
Another question to those in the know :
Should the fabric be completely invisible or can you normally see some ghosting of the weave?
I do have a very bright, high power light right above the center and...
