Well I had some pictures to share but very frustrated with google plus. So I guess you'll have to take my word for it that the bandsaw is finished and I finally got some fiberglass on the canoe. Looks great, maybe one day I'll relearn how to post pictures.

Well not much progress on the canoe. Work and other projects keep getting in the way. I dohave one thing to report though, I picked up an 1940 Delta 14" bandsaw on Craigslist. Great shape, a little surface rust is all. Got a great deal $110!! Now i just need to cleanitup.

No seal coat, just water. Haven't started sanding yet. I can't believe I posted that picture, the gap between those upper strips is ugly!!

First I have to say the canoe is beautiful. Nice job!! Looking at the above pictures I'd be concerned that the way the mounts are setup you're putting a large torque on the hull. The center seat looks like the mount is cantilevered about six inched inside the hull. If the seat to mount joint...

Did you look at Kudzucraft.com? I think hea has a couple of SOF Canoe designs.

If you use 3/16 strips it gets easier to clamp everything also.

I'm not sure what 3/4 stations are but in my experience you'll need a way to clap strips to each other between the forms also.

Wow you sound exactly like me as far as builds go. Two staple less and a solo that is stapled. If I can make a petrel kayak staple less I'm pretty sure anything can be done stapleless. My technique is hot glue and lots of tape. You have to get the right hot glue and tape for it to work well...
