They do not have a button up shirt, but First Lite (firstlite.com) has really nice merino wool sweaters in a light weight that are very well made and durable. They have solid colors as well as camo designs. I use a lot of their product hunting and it is all top notch.

Bob, I will be sure to report my findings re deer populations. I will be happy to be able to harvest anything, or even nothing. We are going in pretty much blind to the terrain and activity, so expectations are low, even if hope is high.

That was why we bought it, we sanded it down and spray can coated the whole thing and then used a stencil to camo it. It has held up for a few years so far. It looks pretty cool and does hold a lot of gear, but this trip will be a real test.

Mike, good advice on stuffing the bag out of the way during the day. You never know what could happen while we are away. We are still 2 weeks out till trip departure, so too early to get a good forecast, and I think this area is fairly unpredictable anyways.

Yea, we have a bear of a canoe so a cart will probably be good for at least most of the portage. Plus 2 or 3 trips back and forth.....

I had the bag tumble dried in a commercial dryer and it did not fluff up too much more. I do plan to keep it and use it on an off season if needed. I’ve kept it this long, may as well hang on to it. But my new bag will not be stuffed for storage. See - I already learned something here...
