I have a couple solo canoes that have pedestal tractor style seats in them and I was looking to put some kind of spacer in the back to give me a bit of a forward lean. Has anyone made such a thing and what did you make them out of? Thanks!!

I've got one a really like it. The covers on the hatches make for easy access to your gear. It paddles very well loaded down with all your camping supplies or empty. It's also fairly lightweight in the world of decked canoes. If you're considering it, you won't be disappointed!

The event she is interested in is "geared toward all types of recreational, touring or racing watercraft". Therefore it qualifies for this challenge. Good point though.

JCH, I live close to Grayling and paddle the AuSable often. I have a Wenonah Voyager and would highly recommend one. It is designed as a tripping canoe and is very efficient loaded or empty. It's a great boat to have.

I love watching the climbers as well, it has always intrigued me. Living in Michigan, climbing gyms are the only option and then I realize it's not my thing. ;)

I stashed my bicycle, helmet and shoes in the woods and went for a long run. When I returned to retrieve my bike i realized I had hidden it on a small ant hill. It's not fun being treated like a chew toy when you're hot, sweaty and tired.😡
